Before beginning his tenure with Eschelon, Rick worked at Frontier Corp, currently known as Global Crossing. He joined the firm in 1972 and earned a promotion to become its vice president in April 1997. Rick worked in multiple administrative jobs at the company between the years 1972 and 1997, such as heading the finance department as vice president and the network operations and business development sectors as director. Rick was previously the vice president of Midwest Telephone Operations and president of Frontier Information Technologies. Rick grew Eschelon’s net worth to $350 million from $30 million in nine years and led it to an impressive IPO in the summer of 2005.
Rick Smith has undeniable expertise in telecommunication operations and leadership.
